What is Retold?

Simply put, Retold is the retelling of some of history's greatest stories. As a Christian, some of the most thrilling, passionate, intriguing and beautiful stories I have ever heard come from the very Word of God! I however, found that I had read them so many times that they were not really affecting me as they should. So often, as we read the Bible stories we have heard time and time again, we forget that it was real people with real emotions that had to live them out in real time. How quickly I forget that Joseph didn't know what was waiting on the other side of three years in a dingy jail cell. I forget that Abraham had to patiently wait out God's promises in real minutes, days and years. I forget that there was pain and struggles for the men and women of the Early Church. Retold, while it is creative and fictional writing, is based on the very real stories of the Bible and on the lives of very real people. It is my prayer that it is used as an effective tool for God's glory. I pray that we would look at the Bible as real accounts of real people. These people had real faith and a God who was and is still very real. I invite you to journey with me though these lives and the stories of Retold. Enjoy!
